Frequently Asked Questions

Welcome to the AssetChief 'Frequently Asked Questions' list!

Here you'll find a list of what we think people are most interested in learning about our system when they first come across it. If you have any suggestions, please feel free to contact us using the feedback form on the main site.

What is AssetChief?

AssetChief is an asset reliability and security management system. It provides features for recording, managing, maintaining and keeping your assets safe.

What's an asset? An asset is anything valuable to you or your organization. It usually involves physical things, such as a computer printer, but it can also be intangible things like a brand, a company strategy, computer software - even key personnel in your organization.

What makes AssetChief different?

There are other work orders systems out there for managing asset maintenance. There are risk management systems for managing risk. There are visitor management systems for managing visitors coming and going. And there are guard tour systems for managing inspection tours and incident reports.

AssetChief, though, combines all of these to create something far greater than each of the parts individually. The synergy that an integrated suite offers enables you to reach a new standard of reliability and security. An asset that is secure is a reliable asset, and an asset that is reliable is a secure asset.

What's more, AssetChief brings each of these features cutting edge technology such as integration with chatbots, NFC tags, QR codes, OCR, face recognition and much more.

And unlike any other reliability or security system out there, AssetChief is uniquely customizable. With AssetChief Gold Edition you can utilize WorkflowFirst to customize the application in any way you imagine: add new fields to assets, add new reports, new workflow, and so on.

How much does it cost?

It's free!

We charge only if you use more than 500 transactions in the system per month. A transaction is simply when you submit a form, such as a new work order, or service request for example. Any form where you click OK is considered a transaction. For small teams it should be easy to stay in the free tier.

If you go over the 500 transaction limit, then we'll charge a small amount per transaction - contact us for more details.

How can I try it out?
